Do you know how plants get their scientific names?

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our informational stand where visitors could learn about the herbarium and make bookmarks, greetings cards and mini herbarium sheets using beautiful pressed plants.

For the Cambridge Festival 2023 we ran a two-week herbarium specimen transcription event. Members of the public used the online platform Zooniverse to transcribe the label information on nearly 1,300 elm specimens held in our collections.
