The University Herbarium often hosts part II Plant Sciences students for their research projects in Michaelmas and Lent term. The Herbarium also hosts student volunteers and interns. These opportunities are available to students studying at the University of Cambridge and other institutions. Previous volunteer/ intern projects have included:
- Barcoding and digitising specimens from the British and Irish collection
- Georeferencing Oliver Rackham’s herbarium
- Writing content for the Herbarium website
